Centar za razvoj neformalnog obrazovanja Center for the Development of Non-Formal Education

CRNO — Center for the Development of Non-Formal Education. Through non-formal education, activism and togetherness we help young people turn „I can’t” into „I can.”

What if we told you…
Y U CAN.
scroll into the answer

You can — even when everyone says you can’t.

We are CRNO — we help young people turn „I can’t” into „I can.” Through non-formal education, activism and togetherness we hand everyone the knowledge, support and chance to prove it.

Our story

Our “C” is an amphitheatre — an open semicircle where no one teaches from above; knowledge is shared among equals.

CRNO grew from a simple conviction: real change happens when people learn, question and grow together. Too many young people grow up hearing „who do you think you are” and „that’s not for you” — until they believe someone else’s limits are their own.

We are non-partisan and non-profit — giving young people clear, honest and realistic guidance to lead change through knowledge, dialogue and partnership with their community.

Why we exist — a generation under pressure

Sources: ILO / World Bank 2024, UNFPA
27%
One in four young people in BiH cannot find work.
And how many heard „you’re not good enough” — before they even tried?
22%
A fifth of young people are neither learning nor working.
Non-formal education begins exactly where formal education stopped.
50%
Every second young person considers leaving the country.
What if the reason isn’t „no chance here” — but „no one told me I could”?
70%
Seven in ten feel society is unfair to them.
Injustice isn’t cured by silence. It’s unlearned — through voice.

“Non-formal education is not a substitute for school — it is the space where young people rebuild agency, purpose and belonging.”
